Personal Collection. Item is not for sale.
One of three plates in a set, all of which are uniquely decorated with blue enamel over-the-glazed, which is rare and very unique. It's not cobalt blue under-the-glaze as it first appears.
The decoration of this plate is very unique and clearly indicate it was adopted from Hokusai woodblock print "The Amida Falls in the Far Reaches of the KisokaidÅ Road (Kisoji no oku Amida-ga-taki)". This is the main reason why I bought this set of plates.
Signed with a studio hall mark, but the signature is un-deciphered.
